Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has recently approved Skil<\/span>ls Canada\u00a0<\/span>Prince <\/span>Edward Island (SCPEI )\u00a0<\/span>as an External Credit provider.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n PEI high school students a<\/span>re now able to receive <\/strong><\/span>a credit\u00a0<\/strong>toward high school graduation when they compete in Skills Canada competitions<\/strong> at the provincial <\/span>and\/or the national levels<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n Students meeting the criteria outlined on the right can apply for an elective Grade <\/span>12 credit. <\/strong><\/em><\/span>hours)<\/em> <\/span>Preparation for National competition<\/span><\/strong> <\/span>\u2013\u00a0<\/span>this includes practice hours required in <\/span>preparation for Orientation<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 <\/span>(10 hours)<\/em><\/span> Opening\/Closing Ceremonies at Nationals <\/span><\/strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/span>this includes guest speakers and <\/span>opportunity for students to network with peers from across Canada<\/span><\/p>\n \u2022<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(12 hours)<\/em><\/span> National Competition Days<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
