Who Are We: The Skills Canada PEI Alumni Association was created in partnership with Skills Canada PEI to promote skilled trades and technologies within Prince Edward Island. This association is made up of people who have excelled in their respective trade or technology and have gone on to represent our province at the Skills Canada National Competition.

Skills Canada PEI helps employers recruit the highly skilled professionals they need to fill a growing number of technical positions. We work with industry and educational institutions to identify programs that will prepare youth with the work-ready skills and training employers need.

Skills Canada National Competition

The Skills Canada National Competition, Skills Canada’s flagship event, brings together the most talented youth in skills and technology-based training programs from across the country to vie for medals and meet members of their industry.

The Olympic-style competition tests the skills of young people at secondary and post-secondary levels for trade and technology occupations. The first round of competition happens at the provincial level, gold medalists from each province or territory then go on to compete in the Canadian Skills Competition.
