TRY-A-TRADE®
Throughout the year Skills Canada PEI and their alumni association host various Try-A-Trade® expos within our schools and communities across Prince Edward Island. The interactive expo format gives participants an opportunity to get a hands-on feel for training programs and careers available to them in Skilled Trades and Technology. Visitors are invited to try their hand at various skilled trades and technologies such as electronics, machining, carpentry, residential electrical, plumbing + more!

PRESENTATIONS
Ever wonder what’s out there in the skilled trades & technologies?
Our free, interactive, presentation will allow participants to explore career options in a safe & fun environment. This one-hour presentation offers information on the skilled trades & technologies, highlights Skills Canada PEI programming and showcases a specific trade, Carpentry! Participants will get to “Try-A-Trade” by building their own toolbox.
- Delivered in-person across Prince Edward Island from October-March
- Tailored to students grades 6-9
- Ideal for after-school clubs & non-profit groups
- Includes giveaways & your very own Toolbox
